Fique, a plant from the agave family primarily produced in Colombia, is one of the country’s most important fibers, known for its minimal water use, low need for pesticides, and soil regeneration capacity. From ancestral hands to modern homes, Buo House weaves tradition, signature design, and organic fibers into timeless pieces, crafted by Colombian artisans.
Our Founder
Buo House was founded a decade ago in Colombia by Andrea Prada. A professional product designer, Andrea began her journey in interior design while shaping the universe of BH, organic, Conscious, and sophisticated.
What started as an Instagram moodboard soon became a space to share her work and inspire design enthusiasts. Almost unintentionally, she began creating organic, handwoven pieces for the homes she designed around the world.
A community quickly formed, drawn to the BH style, which naturally led to the launch of an online store. Since the beginning, Andrea has been the brand’s visual director, guiding everything from design and production to marketing, collaborations, and art direction.
